This is the moment a massive landslide destroys a road, leaving nine vehicles damaged and a woman fleeing for her life.

The incident happened at the entrance to Chaojing Park in Zhongzheng District near Keelung City in Taiwan at around 2 pm on June 3.

According to emergency services, two people were hospitalised as a result of the landslide which also crushed nine vehicles on the busy Beining Road some of which appeared to have been parked.

The video footage shows one woman standing perilously close and then turning to run as what appears to be a large part of the mountain toppled onto the busy road.

The Keelung City Fire Bureau confirmed that most of the people who were in the vehicle had managed to escape.

It said those injured were a 46-year-old surnamedWang and a 40-year-old surnamed Chen who was taken to the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital where they were treated for minor injuries.

The massive mountain slide made the road impassable and once geologists had confirmed it had stabilised, the doctor sent in to try and find the remains of anyone trapped under the rubble.
