On May 26, 2024, at 12:58 AM, Officer Flynn sprang into action while patrolling the 800 block of North Maryland Avenue, where he encountered a scene of chaos outside a residence.

Upon closer inspection, Officer Flynn observed smoke billowing from the residence and witnessed a person desperately clinging to a second-floor window. Swiftly assessing the situation, he realized the urgency of the matter – a fire was raging inside the home. Without hesitation, Officer Flynn kicked down the front door and bravely entered the smoke-filled building.

Navigating through the hazardous conditions, Officer Flynn located a 17-year-old female trapped by the flames. With unwavering resolve, he guided her to safety, ensuring her escape from the imminent danger. However, Officer Flynn's heroism did not end there. Despite the perilous conditions, he courageously re-entered the burning building to rescue the family's beloved pets – three dogs and one cat.
