China's medical robotics market to surpass 3 billion dollars in 2025: report

A new report says the medical robotics market in China is expected to surpass 22 billion yuan or over 3 billion US dollars in 2025. Around a hundred medical experts, industry representatives and policy makers attended a forum in Shanghai, focusing on how robot are revolutionizing surgery and the health care sector.

"Doing surgery over a distance, we call that tele-surgery, and we do think tele-surgery is going to be an important part of the future for helping to educate care teams and surgeons around the globe .The da Vinci system was introduced in China in 2006 and since that time over half a million procedures have been done."
