Trucks loaded with stones successfully blocked a breach caused by floods in southern China.

Video filmed in Yueyang City in Hunan Province on July 2, shows an excavator pushing the trucks into the deep waters, where they sank along with their cargo of stones, forming a sturdy barrier that significantly reduced the water flow from the breach

Following heavy rainfall on July 2, the river embankment in the village breached, causing swift floodwaters to threaten downstream villages and farmland.

Local residents and rescue teams swiftly responded by using trucks loaded with stones to successfully block the breach, effectively containing the further spread of the flood.

Under the technical guidance of the Miluo City Flood Control Headquarters, two abandoned trucks filled with large stones were manoeuvred into the turbulent river with the assistance of an excavator.

Thanks to this successful blockade, the flood situation was brought under control promptly.

7月2日凌晨，岳阳市汨罗市遭遇特大暴雨袭击，短时间内降水量超过警戒线，导致罗江镇垉塘村一处河流堤坝发生决口。汹涌的洪水迅速从决口处涌出，对下游村庄和农田构成严重威胁。面对这一紧急情况，当地迅速启动了防洪应急预案，组织抢险队伍赶赴现场进行处置。

在抢险现场，常规的防洪材料如沙袋、土石等因水流过急而无法有效固定。面对这一困境，抢险队伍决定采取一种直接而有效的应急措施：利用满载石头的卡车来堵截洪水。在汨罗市防指部门的技术指导下，两辆装满大石头的废弃卡车在挖掘机的协助下，缓缓驶入水流湍急的河道中。据目击者拍摄的视频中，可以看到挖掘机伸出铲斗推着卡车缓缓进入河中，卡车连车带车上的石头沉入深水区，卡车与石块一同沉入水中，形成了一道坚固的屏障，有效阻滞了水流。
随着卡车的成功堵截，从决口处流出的水量明显减少，险情得到了有效控制。
