"China has become one of the key co-creators of the future of the world," Violeta Bulc, former European Commissioner for Transport and vice-chair of the Europe-Asia Center, shared her insights in an exclusive interview with Xinhua, highlighting China's evolving role in global economic and environmental landscapes.

"Since China became one of the key co-creators of the future of the world, I do hope that the decisions that will be made, significant or even small steps, will lead towards a greater openness of the world, better collaboration, more direct involvement in challenges that we are all facing.
I would say that the basic quality of life (in China) has improved dramatically. I mean one big goal that the current government has to take China out of poverty, I believe, has been well achieved.
I am counting on China's full participation in global think tanks, in global dialogues and negotiations that they will become one of the very strong actors in this direction, so integrating green agenda in everything we do, and putting the wellbeing of the planet as one of the guiding goals and visions for our joint engagements in the future, and being a new really strong player, which China has been evolving into for the last 20, 30 years, very systematically.
You (China) will play an incredibly important role, not only for China, but about the future of humanity."
