SOUNDBITE (English): JAN LAEGAARD BRONI, Meyra's executive vice president & General manager of Alu Rehab (Xiamen)
"The potential of China is huge. No doubt about it. We can see the market is moving to watch our types of products. So our sales in the Chinese market in the last two years, especially last year, have really increased. We have just talked to the distributors about this year. And they are very, very positive for 2025. So for sure, we'll put more focus into domestic sales and activities in China.
This year we have made our first OEM (original equipment manufacturer) product. We always invest in R&D. This is what we have done for the last 15 years -- investing in the future in China because we have always believed the potential is there.
Meyra is using this hub (in Xiamen) for sourcing in China, for the other factories we have in Europe. We have a lot of suppliers shipping out roughly 750 containers a year of materials that we use for the other factories of Meyra. So China is a very, very important player in Meyra Group as well as Chinese suppliers."
