SOUNDBITE (Italian): MARIA ROSA AZZOLINA, President of Italy-China Institute
"The situation of the Chinese economy is probably certainly better than many Western economies.
But perhaps, at this time, it still benefits a lot from the great momentum. The past two decades have seen it grow faster and faster and faster.
More reforms and openness with new quality productive forces are levers that can greatly affect domestic factors.
And I believe that results of these interventions can be easily verified by anyone who has been able to travel to China in the years before the pandemic and then return a few years later.
Once again, China surprises with the speed of its changes and evolutions.
If I can make an invitation, it is to wish for an increasingly open China but also an equally increasingly open and friendly world toward China."
Xinhua News Agency correspondents reporting from Milan, Italy.
