The free trade agreement between China and Ecuador which came into effect on May first has accelerated the entry of Ecuadorian coffee into the Chinese market.
Ecuador is renowned for its favorable climate, ample sunlight and fertile soil and is a major coffee producer in Latin America.
The owner of one coffee plantation outside the capital says the FTA means new opportunities to conquer the Chinese market.
