North Berwick RNLI volunteers rescued the local who had suffered a leg injury off the coast amidst commemorations marking the 200th anniversary of the charity's founding on August 1.

Footage shows four members aboard a speedboat heading towards the location where they found the victim and a concerned citizen on the shore.

Upon arrival, the crew initiated first aid while coordinating with the Aberdeen Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre.
