A toddler had an adorable reaction when opening pizza boxes for snacks with his mum.

The two-year-old boy Lukather's mood lightened while his mother, Angeline Suello, prepared the treat given by his father in Bulacan, the Philippines, on July 21.

Footage shows Lukather fixated on the box, but his facial expression changes every time he sees the hot pies inside.

He was delighted by cream cheese spinach but reacted happier to seeing pepperoni, which his mum said is the boy's favourite.

Mother Angeline said: 'The pizza was a surprise from Lukather's father to us because he couldn't come home and celebrate our 12th anniversary on the actual day.

'Because we were delighted by the surprise, I thought of recording a video of Lukather's reaction while opening the pizza. He really loves to eat, so he was amazed by the size of the pizza and was very tempted. His favourite flavour is pepperoni. Pizza is his favourite.'
