USA: Angeles National Forest Vehicle Over the Side and Catches Fire Along With Hillside
Los Angeles, United States - August 10, 2024
08/10/2024 02:52 am (GMT-0700) | ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, Calif. – CHP and LACoFD responded to a vehicle over the side and catching fire on Highway 39 in San Gabriel Canyon at mile marker 21.45. Both the driver and a passenger were able to make it up to the hillside. Both were transported to a local hospital in unknown condition. The car fire had spread to the hillside and the LA County Fire Department had upgraded to a full brush response. Firefighters succeeded in containing the flames to a half acre. Unknown if speed or alcohol was a factor in the vehicle going over the cliff. CHP is handling the investigation into the crash.
