Porsche smashes into tree and explodes into flames after colliding with electric bike
An out-of-control Porsche crashed into a roadside tree and burst into flames after colliding with an electric bicycle in eastern China.
Dramatic CCTV footage filmed in Zhoushan City in Zhejiang Province on August 13, shows a Porsche, which appeared to run a red light, striking an electric bicycle violently. The car then veered uncontrollably into a tree, with the front of the vehicle severely deformed and engulfed in a rapidly spreading fire.
Firefighters arrived quickly but were unable to prevent the severe damage to the Porsche, which was left a charred shell. Despite their efforts, the driver, Mr Tang, was confirmed dead. The cyclist, Mr Hu, was injured but survived after medical treatment.
The Zhoushan Traffic Police are investigating the incident, with further details on the cause and responsibility expected once the inquiry is complete.
