A pet Shih Tzu was helped out of a sticky situation when his fluffy face was caught in a glue trap.

The one-year-old pooch was playing in the kitchen when he found the sticky pad meant for the pests in Bicol, the Philippines on August 13.

Bobo sniffed the adhesive, which caught on its fur. He then ran around the home before being found with half its lower face stuck.

Footage shows the canine being removed from the trap by two sisters using Johnson's baby powder in a DIY rescue operation.

Pet owner Sam Camerino said: 'Our dog was curious what it was. We had to use what was available to free him from the situation.'

The pooch was eventually released from the glue pad and was given a shower to remove the sticky stains.
