A majestic lion victoriously roared just centimetres away from a jeep full of tourists.
Dominic Maatany was leading a tour through the Maasai Mara Game Reserve, Kenya, on August 1 when he heard two kings of the jungle nearby.
Amazing footage shows one of the lions known locally as Oloibor sat right behind the rear wheel of Dominic’s Toyota.
With Swiss tourists sitting nearby, Oloibor showed off the power of his roar after successfully driving two rival lions out of his territory.
Dominic said: “I have been guiding safaris in east Africa for over 12 years and I had never been treated with such an incredible experience.
“Oloibor rubbed his head on the car and scent marked it and followed it with the most intimidating sound of the African savanna.
“Oloibor was making it clear that this is still his land to rule. By scent marking my car, he ensured his smelly would be sent everywhere around the park.
“He followed that with a full volume roar that shook the ground and as well as the jeep itself.”
