A woman’s rescue pigeon follows her everywhere even sitting on the edge of her baths.

Chrissy Chin rescued Pidgey when the fancy pigeon was abandoned on a park bench near her home in Langley, British Columbia, Canada, in 2023.

Since bringing the bird home the pair have been inseparable ever since with Pidgey joining Chrissy in the bathroom while she’s having a soak.

The precious pigeon watches and waits by the front door window while Chrissy takes her children to school and then rushes to sit next to her at her home office.

Chrissy said: “Pidgey loves to follow me everywhere. He knows my routine and he waits at the door for me when I am not home.

“I work from home and in the morning he rushes to my home office to sit with me at my desk.

“He loves to cuddle with me on the couch and watch TV and he literally follows me everywhere.”

Chrissy and her family have lived on their farm for five years and have 200 chickens, 30 ducks, two cows and four pigeons.

Chrissy said: “Never in my wildest dreams would I imagine I would grow this close to a pigeon.

“We have many birds on our farm we love but nothing quite like the connection I have with Pidgey.

“It was clear a few months after I rescued him that he was very bonded to me. He used to live in the barn with our other birds but the moment he would see me enter the barn he would start cooing and trying to land on me.

“One day he escaped the barn and flew to the house and I saw him checking in our windows looking for me.

“I remember the day I told my husband he was just coming in for the one night. Id take him back out in the morning. And I did try.

“But it was very clear he wanted to be I the house with us. So we ordered a diaper and he’s been inside ever since.

“The only difference between having a pet cat or dog and Pidgey is I can’t potty train him yet. When Pidgey is free flying the house he wears a custom diaper.

“We do allow him access to our deck and outside space when we are out doing chores.

“He also loves car rides and to look out the windows. He never goes into a cage and is always free roam.”
