USA: Los Angeles Police Respond to Officer Needs Help Call

08/18/2024 02:11 am (GMT-0800) | LOS ANGELES – Around 2:11 a.m., the Los Angeles Police Department received reports of a shooting in the 2100 block of Hyde Park Boulevard. Shortly after the arrival of LAPD officers to the location, an "officer needs help" call was issued, prompting a heightened response from the department.

Initial reports indicated that a large group had gathered, with some individuals allegedly throwing rocks and bottles at the responding officers.

In response to the situation, additional officers equipped with riot helmets and batons were dispatched to the area. At least two subjects were taken into custody.

The LAPD had no further information regarding the incident.
