Rain poured into the Shinjuku Station during a storm in Tokyo, Japan, on Wednesday, August 21.
Footage shows the deluge cascading down steps into the underground railway station. Locals described it as a 'guerrilla rainstorm' that battered the capital.
The Japan Meteorological Agency announced 'record short-term heavy rain information' in Tokyo shortly after the downpour. They reported that around 100 millimeters of heavy rain fell near Minato Ward until 7 pm local time.
