Many leaders of multinationals, who attended the fifth Qingdao Multinationals Summit in east China's Shandong Province, said the rapid growth of China's marine economy is generating significant market potential and opportunities for international cooperation.

They also said that China's opening-up policy and high-quality business environment have facilitated their business in China and they plan to step up investment in China.

"I think China's economy has opened up significantly and there are very good opportunities for multinationals to also play (a) significant role in the development of the country. So, I think the future is bright."

"We have a comprehensive plan and for the next years to continue expanding our factory capacity. The Chinese owners have invested a lot in the last three years in building new ships, that means that they are driving this kind of market. So in the next coming years, we are going to see also the peripheral economies to shipping being developed. So we see a lot of development in the area."

"We are very much into offshore wind power. So, in line with (China's) central government policies and also (those) implemented by the provincial and local governments, we see, in fact, huge potential for our product offering."
