SOUNDBITE 1 (English): AMIN SALAM, Lebanese Economy and Trade Minister
"The Chinese market is very promising and a very large-scale market particularly when we talk about e-shopping and e-commerce. For Lebanon, this is a big deal for Lebanese manufacturers and products and economy. We think this has a very big potential to grow and we look forward to working with the private sector and public sector to develop this initiative. I think we have a very promising trade and future between Lebanon and China."

According to the founders of Lebanese Signature, their collaboration with JD.com this year has opened up new opportunities for Lebanese products by accessing China's expansive online marketplace.

SOUNDBITE 2 (English): JOYCE MOUAWAD, Co-founder of Lebanese Signature
"Our presence with JD.com as Lebanon pavilion is going to open a big door to a new system of trade between Lebanon and China. This will facilitate the presence of Lebanon in China. (It's) very impressive knowing that it is good for both cultures."

Launched in 2020, Lebanese Signature has been instrumental in helping small Lebanese producers reach a global audience.

Looking ahead, the team intends to broaden its offerings to include high-end brands, fashion designers, and artisanal crafts, aiming to attract Chinese consumers during major shopping events.
