A 79-year-old grandmother has become an online fitness inspiration.

Super fit Bai Jinqin from Tianjin, China, told local media she feels younger than ever after she decided to introduce exercise into her daily routine 19 years ago.

She said: 'Now I am 79 years old. I don't take any medicine. People say that I walk with the wind, but I don't feel it.'

Bai, who in the past had to undergo three surgeries after being diagnosed with cancer, said she has realised just how important it is to keep healthy.

She added: 'I had poor health in the past, so I know the meaning of it.'

Bai said she had never used to work out in the past due to her busy work schedule, which also had her sitting down most of the time.

As a result of her sedimentary lifestyle, Bai admitted she often fell sick and even contracted cancer.

After a painful recovery process that involved her undergoing three operations, she finally decided it was time to regain her life by going to a gym and taking proper care of her health.

Bai first began with more straightforward exercises at the age of 60 to avoid straining herself.

But as she kept going, she pushed towards a high-intensity regime that earned her a stunning physique and the title 'Most beautiful yoga grandma'.

She said: 'At the very beginning, my physical ability was poor and I didn't know anything about workouts.

'But I truly believe that what's most important is to keep trying.'

'I train five times a week, from Monday to Friday. Each class lasts for one hour, but I have to warm up one to one and a half hours in advance, otherwise I can't keep up with the coach's progress.'

She began posting videos of her workouts online, gaining an impressive 100,000 followers over time.

Various images show Bai being active at the gym, doing challenging exercises such as resistance training and weightlifting while in workout gear, and boasting a full head of grey hair.

Now, the grandmother has inspired many with her impressive toned physique, achieved by embracing a variety of exercises, including yoga, Pilates, battling ropes, and core training.
