A worker used a machine to effortlessly produce maltose in China.

The man placed a dark lump of malt sugar onto the mechanism, which stretched and pulled the mixture at a factory in Hubei.

Footage shows the equipment's two rotating rods transforming the dark-coloured compound into a lighter shade.

Maltose, or malt sugar, is used in a wide variety of foods such as caramel, frozen dairy products, jellies, and canned fruits. It is an important ingredient in baking, providing sweetness, browning, moistness, flavour, and more.
