A quick-thinking son pleaded with passing cars to stop and help his unconscious mother.

The boy and his little sister were in the passenger seat while their mother was behind the wheel when their car crashed into a vehicle in front in Guangdong, China.

Footage shows the youngster stepping out from the back seat and kneeling before motorists, begging for help.

Good Samaritans noticed the children in distress, pulled over, took them to safety, and called medics to assist their mother.

The mother later told local media: 'I have no memory of the accident. I cried after watching the video. I had no idea my son loved me that much.

'When I asked if he was scared, he said he was most frightened of losing me.'

She was rushed to the hospital in another car, while both children were confirmed safe.
