This is the heart-wrenching moment a homeless Indian man revealed his former high-flying job in Dubai.

In the video, he identifies himself as an engineer who once thrived in in the United Arab Emirates but now struggles to make ends meet as a garbage collector in his homeland.

Social worker and influencer Jigar Rawal from India captured and shared his touching story after encountering him wandering in the middle of the road while carrying several messy bags.

Apart from the time he spent working overseas, he also mentioned that his life took a drastic turn for the worse after his wife left him, taking their children with her.

He added: 'She went with someone else along with our children. I thought that by going abroad, I would earn and get something for her too, but here, something different happened.'

The man now survives by roaming the streets, collecting trash, and selling it to scrap dealers to earn some money.
