Recently, in Binzhou, Shandong, just before China's 75th National Day, a young man from a rural area used corn cobs, corn kernels, wheat, and other crops to create portraits of founding figures like Mao Zedong, Zhou Enlai, and Deng Xiaoping in his courtyard.

The man, surnamed Zhou, is 32 years old. He has had a passion for drawing since childhood but has never received formal art education. Creating such a mosaic artwork takes him around three to four hours. Mr. Zhou expressed that, as a farmer, he hopes to honour the founding leaders and show his love for the country through these crop-based portraits.
