Police use drone to blast out siren in order to wake drivers stuck in traffic in China
On the night of September 30, due to the surge in travel during the National Day holiday, a major traffic jam occurred on the Panjin section of the Beijing-Harbin Expressway. Many drivers, stuck late into the night, turned off their engines and slept in their cars to rest.
Several hours later, the road ahead was finally cleared. To promptly notify the drivers, traffic police deployed a police drone to provide a "wake-up service." The drone flew overhead, announcing loudly: "The road ahead is now clear, please get ready."
This novel and effective wake-up method left drivers impressed, with many praising the high-tech solution, adding some fun to the otherwise dull traffic jam.
