A minibus caught fire, injuring the driver at a petrol station in Indonesia.

Footage shows the vehicle engulfed in flames as authorities extinguished it in Pitulua Village, Lasusua Subdistrict, North Kolaka District, Southeast Sulawesi, on October 10.

Reports indicate that the incident was allegedly caused by the driver playing with a cell phone, which exploded while the vehicle was loading 15 Pertalite jerry cans.

The driver sustained severe burns and was admitted to the Djafar Harun Lasusua Regional General Hospital.

Lasusua Chief of Police, Inspector Rachman Syarif, stated: 'The driver is currently being treated in hospital due to burns.'

Estimated losses from the incident are approximately 200 million Indonesian Rupiah.
