A minibus carrying fuel burst into flames, injuring two passengers.

The Fire and Rescue Services received a report from villagers about the burning vehicle in Lampung, Indonesia, on September 30.

Footage shows firefighters dousing the van with high-pressure water on the side of the road.

The couple aboard the vehicle reportedly sustained serious burns from the incident and were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Head of Fire and Rescue Services for South Lampung Regency, Rully Fikriansyah, said: 'We found several jerry cans inside the car, but they were completely burnt. According to witness statements, before the fire started, fuel was scattered on the road, and then an explosion was heard.'

Authorities are now conducting an investigation.
