A beautiful marble cat was spotted by a wildlife camera in Thailand.

Footage shows the spotted feline walking through the undergrowth at the Pang Sida National Park in Sa Kaeo province on October 14.

The marbled cat, Pardofelis marmorata, is a small, elusive wild cat native to the forests of Southeast Asia. Its striking patterend coat - with marbled spots resembling those on its leopard cousins - provide excellent camouflage in the forest foliage.

Marbled cats are adept climbers and spend much of their time in trees, feeding on small mammals, birds, and reptiles.

They are classified as near threatened under the International Union for Conservation of Nature Red List. Indiscriminate snaring, retaliatory killing by farmers, and habitat loss are among the threats to its population.
