In a startling incident in western India's Maharashtra, veterinary doctors successfully treated a snake that swallowed a foot-long piece of plastic.

The incident took place at Dr. Rina Dev's Animal and Bird Clinic in Mumbai city on October 15.

Visuals showed the X-ray of the snake, revealing a swollen neck caused by the plastic obstruction. Later, the snake was seen in the treatment room, its neck still visibly swollen. The footage captured the veterinary doctor carefully removing the large plastic piece from the snake's mouth. Throughout the procedure, the snake appeared calm as the plastic was steadily extracted, freeing it from the blockage. After the successful treatment, the doctor was shown holding both the removed plastic and the snake, signaling the completion of the procedure.

Speaking to Newslions, Dr. Rina Dev, veterinary doctor from Mumbai, explained that the snake was rescued from the Juhu area with a swollen face. Initially, it was suspected that the snake had swallowed a creature like a rat, but after investigation, it was found to have ingested a large piece of plastic. The plastic was safely removed, and the snake was declared well after the treatment.
