Bear emerges from forest and searches food in rubbish bin
This is the moment a bear emerged from a forest and searched for food in a rubbish bin.
The sun bear was spotted by a villager rummaging through the area to find something to eat among the trash in Lampung, Indonesia, on October 8.
Footage shows the animal climbing on the wooden wall of an abandoned house.
Police Commissioner Umi Fadillah Astutik explained that a joint team from the Indonesian National Armed Forces, the National Police, and the Natural Resources Conservation Agency (BKSDA) is currently searching for the bear.
The Commander of the West Lampung 0422 Military Command, Lieutenant Colonel Inf Rinto Wijaya, said that the bear was likely the same animal residents had seen on August 10.
He said: 'This behaviour happens because there is no food in the forest.'
