Food delivery driver injured when glass door shatters and building owner demands compensation
This is the shocking moment a glass door shatters when a food rider tries to open it, leaving him cut on the arm and the building owner demanding compensation.
Footage shows a rider opening the glass door when it suddenly cracked upon pulling it while he was making a delivery in Huizhou, Guangdong, China, on October 12.
The store reportedly demanded the rider pay CNY 600 (GBP 70) for the incident.
The store's manager, Mr Huang, confirmed that the police had been contacted following the incident.
He stated that replacing the door would cost CNY 1,200 (GBP 140), and both parties would share the expense.
The insurance from the delivery platform would cover the delivery rider's injuries, but the rider insists that the store is fully responsible for the incident.
