Recently, Shenzhen Xiaomeisha Ocean World officially reopened, attracting a large number of visitors for its preview. One of the highlights has been a unique mechanical whale shark, which has garnered widespread attention.

This whale shark is 5.1 metres long, weighs around 520 kg, and is made up of 13,000 precise components, including 156 sensors and 14 motors. Using advanced bionic technology and a sophisticated control system, the mechanical whale shark can realistically simulate the movements of a real whale shark in water, such as surfacing, diving, maintaining depth, turning, swimming, and even opening and closing its mouth. Its maximum swimming speed reaches 0.7 metres per second, and it can dive as deep as 10 metres.

According to Xiaomeisha Ocean World, the mechanical whale shark was designed to pay tribute to ocean giants while reducing reliance on real marine creatures. This innovative effort not only offers visitors a stunning visual experience but also sparks curiosity about marine life and technology.

Many visitors have expressed amazement at the whale shark's lifelike appearance and agility, feeling as if they were truly immersed in an ocean world. In addition, Xiaomeisha Ocean World has launched other exciting activities and performances, such as "The Mermaid’s Secret Realm," allowing visitors to enjoy both marine life and the cultural charm of the ocean.
