Rockslide sends passing motorists fleeing as huge boulders block road in China
On 10 July, a sudden landslide occurred along a riverside road in Daning County, Linfen, Shanxi Province. Massive rocks tumbled down, burying the road and forcing nearby villagers to run for safety.
According to staff from the Daning County Natural Resources Bureau, some villagers had noticed signs of instability before the collapse, and no injuries were reported. Preliminary analysis suggests the rockfall was likely related to recent rainfall.
