This is the nerve-wracking moment a plane landed in strong winds at Dublin International Airport in Ireland.

Footage shows the arrival of a Norwegian Air flight amid powerful gusts on the runway on October 20.

The pilot of the Boeing 737 skillfully navigated through the severe weather conditions, earning praise from passengers as he ensured the safety of everyone on board.

The filmer said: 'Norwegian Air is winning the award for the roughest landing so far. Holy Jesus. Fair play to that pilot.'

Storm Ashley, the first named storm of the season, continues to batter the country, leaving more than 9,000 families without electrical power and causing 60 flight cancellations.

DAA spokesman Graeme McQueen stated: 'Gusting winds in the Dublin area throughout the afternoon and evening have made it difficult for some planes to land, resulting in several diversions and go-arounds being performed.'
