Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met with visiting Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha in Cairo on Saturday.
During a press conference, Abdelatty said that Egypt is Ukraine's leading trade partner in Africa and the Middle East, stressing the importance of enhancing scientific, cultural and educational cooperation with Ukraine.
Addressing the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Abdelatty urged efforts to find a political solution to the crisis.
Additionally, he shared that he discussed regional issues with Sybiha, particularly the grave conditions in the Middle East resulting from the recent Israeli actions, underscoring the need for a ceasefire in Gaza and Lebanon.
The two ministers also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding following bilateral and expanded sessions that included delegations from both countries.
