Coast guard dog helps search for missing persons buried in landslide
Coast Guard sniffer dogs were deployed to search for missing persons after Tropical Storm Trami in the Philippines.
Video shows the search dog named 'Traze' alerting its handlers in Calatagan Town in Batangas province on October 25.
The Coast Guard K9 Field Operating Unit - Southern Tagalog said two bodies were later recovered from the location.
Trami, known locally as Kristine, intensified into a severe tropical storm as it churned over the Philippine Sea on October 23.
Philippine weather agency PAGASA said it made landfall over Isabela province in the country's northeast at 12:30am on Thursday, October 24.
Authorities said at least 136 people have died or were missing as more than half a million people fled to evacuation shelters across the northern and central parts of the country.
Trami made landfall over Thua Thien-Hue and Da on October 27, posing flood risks in the country's central region.
