Passenger plane crash-lands in middle of a forest after unexpected loss of engine power
Dramatic footage shows a small passenger plane making a crash landing in the middle of a forest after experiencing engine failure mid-flight.
One clip shows the Antonov An-2 jet flying extremely low over a road in Essentuki, Stavropol Krai, Russia, on October 27.
Another video reveals firefighters dousing the wrecked aircraft with fire retardant after it crashed in a forest.
The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement: 'An An-2 aeroplane made an emergency landing near Yessentuki.
'There were nine people on board, including an eight-year-old child. Four people were injured, three of whom were hospitalised. There were no fatalities.
'There are 11 specialists and five units of equipment of the Russian Emergencies Ministry working at the site.'
