British woman aghast as Oyster card blows from her hand on boat
A British woman was aghast as an Oyster card was blown away while she was riding a boat.
Footage shows tourist Alba Mendoza pulling the travel card from her wallet while she was returning from an island hopping trip in Rayong, Thailand on November 8.
But the breeze was too strong and the London Underground blue plastic card flew from her grip.
She was stunned for a moment before bursting into laughter with her friends, realising the card had gone.
The holidaymaker said: 'I lost my Oyster card in the sea during my trip to Thailand. Perhaps it was a sign that I should've been staying on my holiday. Someone didn't want me to return.'
An Oyster card is a smart card used for electronic payment on public transportation in London, including the subway, buses, trams, London Overground, and some river services. Users travel by tapping the card on a card reader at the beginning and end of their journey.
