US: NYPD Air Sea Rescue Saves Man After Medical Emergency Near Sandy Hook

Middletown Township, United States - November 09, 2024 The NYPD’s Air Sea Rescue team came to the aid of a 24-year-old man who suffered a medical emergency aboard a boat near Sandy Hook on the morning of November 9. The incident occurred about 150 yards offshore, prompting the dispatch of Air Sea Rescue No. 11 via helicopter. NYPD divers were quickly deployed, boarding the vessel to provide immediate medical attention. After stabilizing the man, they used a rescue basket to lift him safely onto the helicopter. The man was then transported to Staten Island University Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. No additional injuries were reported.
