US, Los Angeles: Carson Semi Truck Crashes Shuts Down Southbound 405 Freeway
Los Angeles, United States - November 13, 2024 11/13/2024 02:36 am (GMT-0800) LONG BEACH, Calif. – A semi-truck crashed into the center divider on the southbound 405 Freeway near Alameda early Tuesday morning blocking the majority of the southbound lanes and causing significant traffic disruptions. According to the California Highway Patrol, the front of the truck extended over the center divider and obstructed a portion of northbound lanes. The container being carried by the semi was ejected and landed on the southbound 405 off-ramp. CHP responded to the scene at 2:36 a.m., and Caltrans was on the way to assist with the freeway closure. A Sig Alert was issued for the area. Motorist are being diverted off at Wilmington.
