Roof suddenly collapses on suspiciously poorly built home
A roof suddenly collapsed on the front patio of a home.
CCTV footage shows the ceiling panels and metal frames crashing into the floor below in Phatthalung, Thailand on November 5.
The fan also plunged with the debris but no one was hurt as the residents were inside the house when it happened.
Resident Yaowamarl Khairod said the ceiling was built 18 years ago but poor structure and termite infestation could have caused it.
He said: 'We did not know that the damage was already too severe. It looked fine from the outside. We saw termites had eaten through the paper in the gypsum board.
'It could have been prevented if the builder treated the ceiling boards well.'
