Buck tangled in playground nets rescued in Colorado
A buck tangled in playground nets was rescued in Colorado.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) officers Aaron Berscheid and Travis Sauder, with assistance from Woodland Park Police, removed the threads caught on the deer's antlers in Woodland Park on November 20.
Footage shows the frantic animal thrashing in an attempt to free itself. Authorities waited for it to calm down but eventually decided to use a taser before cutting it loose.
Local reports said that the buck did not sustain any serious injuries during the incident.
With human activities encroaching on natural habitats, animals are often driven to forage in areas with man-made hazards, such as fences, ropes, traps, and other dangerous objects.
CPW urges communities to remain vigilant in protecting wildlife from such risks.
