First long-haul flight lands at Nuuk Airport in Greenland
Footage shows the first-ever long-haul flight landing at the Nuuk Airport in Greenland on November 28.
The Airbus A330-800 operated by Air Greenland took off from Copenhagen before touching down on the new runway 04 in the capital city on November 28.
Airport managers said flight GL781 'marks a new era for the Greenland capital'.
They believe the runway's expansion to 2,200 metres will revolutionise Greenland's air travel, enabling Air Greenland to establish a hub-and-spoke model, connecting regional airports and providing quicker access to international destinations.
