This is the impressive moment a craftsman transformed a beer bottle into a lantern in China.

The local had a creative idea to recycle a green liquor bottle, turning it into a glowing lantern lamp just days before the Mid-Autumn Festival in Guangxi on September 12.

Footage shows the man wrapping hemp rope around the top and bottom of the bottle and setting it on fire.

He then submerged the container in cold water, causing both tied sections to detach cleanly.

The base of the bottle was attached to a wooden plank with four holes, through which wires were threaded and secured at the bottle's opening.

A glowing red candle was then placed inside the bottle, completing its transformation into a lantern fastened to a small rod.
