Russian bomb squads safely detonated a World War II ordnance.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations safely neutralised the German aerial bomb after it was discovered at a work site in northern Volgograd on December 3.

Pyrotechnics from the Don Rescue Centre identified the explosive as a 250-kilogram high-explosive aviation bomb dating back to the Great Patriotic War.

Specialists transported the device to a secure range, where it was successfully disarmed, ensuring the safety of the area.
