China: Truck Driver Rescued After Plunging Into River, Clings To Vehicle Roof For Hours
China - December 10, 2024 A truck driver narrowly escaped death after his vehicle plunged into the Gan River early one morning, following a sharp curve that caused him to lose control. The driver, drenched and stranded on the roof of his truck for three hours, managed to self-rescue after the crash but remained trapped in the river until daylight. Passersby spotted the driver and alerted authorities. Firefighters from Jiangxi quickly responded, using a rubber boat to reach the man, providing safety protection, and bringing him back to shore. The rescue operation saved the driver from what could have been a fatal ordeal.
