And can you tell us what's going on here and what you guys are doing? Okay, so tonight is New Year's Eve and we have a driver DUI checkpoint right here on Van Nuys Boulevard in Beachy. And our objective tonight is to send a message to the community that we are enforcing DUI laws and we are actively trying to find people who are driving under the influence. (...) And you guys have been successful on finding those DUI drivers? Yes, so far we've arrested three drivers that have been driving under the influence of alcohol.(...) And has it just started and how long did it take you guys to get those DUI drivers? Well, we started the checkpoint tonight at 6.15 and it's just right before 9 o'clock I believe and we've already got three so far in just this area alone. And is that more than average? Is that normal? Yes, a little bit more than average. Usually we get more later in the night but this early on so far we've got three just at this point alone. (...) So that's a pretty decent number so far considering how early it is. And do you guys enforce more just because it's a New Year's holiday or are you guys out all the time? No, we're always enforcing DUI laws. It's just a night like this it's more prevalent for people to drive under the influence of alcohol because there's more parties, there's more going on. The weather is really nice. It's not cold so people are out and about going to parties and unfortunately driving under the influence of alcohol.
