Los Angeles, United States - May 25, 2025 05/25/2025 02:00 am GMT-0700 PACOIMA, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – On Sunday morning, Los Angeles firefighters responded to a technical rescue after a man was found in an open manhole on the 12400 block of West Osborne Street. Upon arrival, firefighters deployed a rope system from an aerial ladder to pull the man back to the street. He appeared to be in his 30s and was suffering from head trauma, possibly in an altered state of mind. Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics transported the man to a nearby hospital for treatment. It remains unclear how he fell into the manhole or how he sustained his injuries, as well as how the manhole cover was removed.
