Tourists negotiated a grotty alleyway to reach a surprisingly clean Airbnb on the second floor in Vietnam.

Ana Sadang and her companion had to pass through the 3ft wide passage and climb up a dilapidated stairway to reach their booked property in Hanoi on December 25.

Footage shows the travellers pulling their luggage along the narrow pathway. The paint on the walls were peeling and the red tiles on the floor were visibly old.

However, when the pair reached the room, they were surprised to find a cosy room with a living room and bed.

Ana said: 'The Airbnb description mentioned the shady alley but we did not expect it to look like that.

'We were scared at first to enter through but we were relieved that the room looked clean and safe.'
