STORYLINE:
Resettlement is underway after a 6.8-magnitude earthquake struck Dingri County in Xizang Autonomous Region, southwest China, on Tuesday morning.
The focus of work has now shifted to the resettlement of the affected people and post-disaster reconstruction.
A total of 224 resettlement sites have been set up for 47,500 relocated residents, according to a press conference on Thursday.
With a population of over 60,000, Dingri county is one of the most populous border counties in Xizang.
There are 27 villages and about 6,900 people within a 20-km radius of the epicenter.
